The neighbourhood fund exists to support community services and events in our specific area of London Bridge and West Bermondsey. Councillors can directly support a number of projects across the area that contribute to community cohesion and wellbeing.
“We are happy to provide Bermondsey St Festival with this funding. They attract 1000s of our residents to celebrate together on this iconic street each year, symbolising the diversity and cultural richness we have in this area. “

“We have been taking part in the Bermondsey Street Festival for years! It means a lot to us, our customers and the team. It’s such a vibrant day, our customers love to browse through our Yard Sale, stall at the front of the gallery as well as get involved in the fun festivities. We are also now really proud to support the festival with our Gallery Director Gena Johns taking over the organising and helping to save it in 2024.”

Lolo on Bermondsey Street is a warm, all-day neighbourhood restaurant from the godfather of Spanish cooking, Jose Pizarro. Inspired by the relaxed charm of Mediterranean dining, it serves everything from breakfast and coffee to tapas, hearty mains, and a well-chosen wine list. With its inviting atmosphere, seasonal ingredients, and a focus on simple, flavour-packed dishes, Lolo is the kind of place where locals and visitors alike can feel at home, whether you’re grabbing a quick bite, meeting friends, or settling in for a long, lazy meal.
“From all of us at Lolo, supporting the Bermondsey Street Festival is about celebrating the place we’re proud to call home. Bermondsey is more than just our address, it’s our community, our neighbours, and the people who make every day here special. The festival brings everyone together in a spirit of joy, creativity, and connection, and being part of that feels like being invited into the heart of the neighbourhood. For us, it’s not just about serving food, it’s about sharing in the life of Bermondsey and helping keep its independent, vibrant spirit alive.“

“The Bermondsey Festival is such a special part of our community, and that’s exactly why Young’s and The Woolpack are always excited to get behind it. It’s a chance to shine a light on all the brilliant businesses, big and small – that make Bermondsey what it is. We love the buzz, the colour, the celebrations… and you can count on us to always, always be there raising a glass to it.“
“We love being able to support local initiatives where we can, having moved our office to the area 2 years ago – we’ve been welcomed with open arms and its great to be able to give something back.”
“The Bermondsey Street Festival is a fantastic celebration of the community we’re proud to serve. SE1 is at the centre of what we do, and this event is a great way for us to meet neighbours, share ideas, and be part of the local spirit that makes the area such a special place to live.“
“Supporting the Bermondsey Street Festival has always felt like a natural extension of what we do at Bermondsey SE1; celebrating the people, businesses and creative spirit that make this neighbourhood so special. This year, we’re incredibly proud to co-create the very first Family Fun Hub in Leathermarket Gardens, alongside our good friend and local legend Chris Hall, owner of Giddy Grocer.“
“Being part of Bermondsey Street is at the heart of who we are. Supporting the Bermondsey Street Festival is our way of giving back to the community that has embraced us from the beginning. We love celebrating the creativity, diversity, and neighbourhood spirit that make Bermondsey such a unique place to live, work, and visit.“
